Executive summary

In November 2025 I purchased a DTG printer from Xinflying Group; the company’s manager was Alonso (+86 185 8875 3059).

The order was placed and paid in full based on the proforma invoice (PI) and the accompanying specification brochure provided by the seller before purchase. The total cost of the printer was 7000 USD, which is significantly higher than the market price of comparable DTG printers with a similar configuration.

I knowingly agreed to this price because I trusted the seller, their explanations, technical descriptions, and marketing materials, where the equipment was positioned as a professional solution with an extended color configuration and appropriate technical support.

The PI and the specification brochure stated the following configuration:

Printer: Xinflying XF-DTG-380 T-Shirt Printer
Max printing format: 380×470 mm
Print Head: 2 pcs i3200-A1-HD
Color: CMYK+ORFYFM (CMYK + Orange + Red + Fluo Yellow + Fluo Magenta)
RIP Software: RIIN

From my very first message to the seller, I clearly and unambiguously stated that I do not need white printing. The printer was intended to be used without white ink, and this condition was communicated to the seller when I requested model recommendations.

Based on my request, Xinflying Group manager Alonso recommended this printer as meeting all my needs.

The stated color scheme CMYK+ORFYFM (CMYK + Orange + Red + Fluo Yellow + Fluo Magenta) seemed interesting and logically suitable for a two–print-head setup.

The color scheme CMYK+ORFYFM was written and fixed in the specification brochure sent by Alonso and later in the invoice. This eliminates the possibility of interpreting this configuration as an accidental mistake or misunderstanding.

After receiving the equipment, it turned out that the delivery and subsequent support have two critical systemic problems.

The first and key problem is the absence of a working ICC / color profile for the claimed and documented color scheme CMYK+ORFYFM. The inks for this scheme were indeed supplied, but the seller was unable to provide a correct color profile. During the correspondence, the seller admitted that they do not have a ready solution for CMYK+ORFYFM and that the “correct” scheme is CMYK+RGFYFM (CMYK + Red + Green + Fluo Yellow + Fluo Magenta) (Green instead of Orange).

To resolve the issue, the seller suggested sending me green ink; I agreed to this option, but later the seller refused to ship it and started stalling, promising to create a correct color profile for CMYK+ORFYFM — which was never provided.

Moreover, the seller could not even provide a color profile for basic CMYK without extended colors.

Without a correct ICC color profile, predictable color reproduction is impossible, and in practice I cannot use the printer because it does not print images in the correct colors.

The second critical problem is a mismatch between the actual hardware configuration and the invoice.

According to the PI, the printer was supposed to be equipped with two identical i3200-A1-HD print heads. In reality, the heads were different, and the seller acknowledged this only after the printer was received, explaining that they simply “forgot to change the PI.”

In addition, the printer has a configuration for white ink, with a separate print head allocated for it, despite the fact that I originally told the seller that I do not need white. As a “solution,” the seller suggested simply not using the second head.

Despite admitting mistakes and making numerous promises, both problems were not resolved by the seller, which led to the creation of this site.

❌ At the time of publication, I still cannot use the purchased printer due to the seller’s mistakes and the lack of support on their side.

Communication timeline with the seller

Alibaba: first contact and stating the printer requirements

Below are screenshots of the conversation where from the very beginning I requested DTG A2, CMYK + Fluorescent, without white, and separately clarified colors and pricing.

Printer received

Immediately after receiving the printer, Alonso reports, that he made a mistake with the printer configuration and that I received different print heads than those listed in the invoice and paid for by me.

Support chat confirms the seller’s mistake with the incorrect color profile (Orange → Green)

After receiving the printer, the support chat confirmed an ink/channel mismatch, said to replace Orange ink with Green, and told me to communicate with the seller (Alonso).

The seller promises to send new ink

After the issue was confirmed by technical support, the seller promised to send Green ink instead of Orange.

The seller takes back their words and starts stalling

The seller refuses to ship the ink, promises to create a color profile for the current inks, but simply stalls for time.

Result: the seller does not have a working ICC profile for the documented configuration.

Final conclusion

A significant amount was paid for the printer — 7000 USD, exceeding the market price of comparable solutions. I trusted the seller and the provided materials, but as a result I received equipment that:
